Telkom Exploiting Clients and NOT delivering service.

Hi. I've had a Fibre line with telkom for a few years and decided to cancel the contract due to the following reasons. 1. Unstable network in 2021. 2. Early Jan probably around the 3rd the line stopped completely.

I've reported the fault and re-reported it when Minnie from the Northgate branch eventually returned a call to me. I have been into the Northgate branch to cancel the account , I have emailed a cancelation form and tried two online platforms to cancel the account.

To date the account appears to be active needless to say, to say I have had no use of the Fibre line.

The account was Paid in full up to 31 January 2022 even though I had not used the line in January 2022 due to the line being down.

I have been handed over to DebtIn who contacted me literally over 50 times from end February to start April. Despite multiple efforts to explain that the services were nor rendered and I will therefore nor be settling the account from Feb - Apr.

I have recieved an email from *** confirming that the account was paid in full for January 2022 and they confirmed during a telephone call that telkom should credit me for January 2022. Despite efforts the calls continued.

To date the account keeps going up every month and remains active even though I have done due diligence and cancelled the account due to their lack of service and negligence.

What is the best way forward? Should I expose Telkom for the way they exploit clients?

One thing is for sure, they are quick to sign the deal but the after sales is horrific. Assistance in Cresta and Northgate is useless, calling them is an even bigger waste of time.
