Telkom doesnt process cancellation requests and they continue to bill you
I sent in a cancellation request on the 6 February 2018. By 9 March 2018 my internet was cancelled (even though my cancellation request specifically said 31 March 2018). I called your call centre (9 or 10 March 2018) and asked why my internet was cancelled before time. I was told that my cancellation request was processed, and in order to activate my internet I would have to re-apply.
I left it as is and accepted that my internet was cancelled. I packed up the router and never had internet since then. It is 12 April 2018 and I receive a bill for over R700!! I contact your call centre and they tell me that the services WERE not cancelled!!! Someone please explain to me why I am being charged for services I did not use?! I no longer even live in Cape Town!!! That's why I sent in the cancellation request!!! I have been trying to get assistance and all I am told is that this will be escalated and NOTHING HAPPENS!! I WILL NOT BE PAYING THIS BILL.
I have read so many clients who have had the same issues and I will not be a victim to this company, I absolutely refuse. I will be seeking legal counsel. Perhaps a class action law suit is necessary - everyone who sent in a cancellation request and it was not processed and are being billed regardless should band together.
Anyone who is thinking of using their services, PLEASE DO NOT. Its so easy to sign up yet you must jump through hoops to cancel! I am absolutely livid!! I will never recommend nor use your services. Treating clients like this is absolutely ********.
