Telkom doesn't care about *****
On 14 January I had a Telkom debit order go off against my bank account for R4200. I immediately phoned my bank and had them reverse the transaction. I then proceeded to phone Telkom. The person who I spoke to asked me a few security questions and then told me that it appears that somebody has taken out a ********** contract in my name. He gave me a list of all the documents I then needed to submit to Telkom and told me that once I had those documents that I should phone back and the person who would be assisting me would provide me with the email address so that I can create a ***** case for investigation.
Later that day I phoned back got an email address of the lady that was helping me and she said that she would reply on my email with the ***** case number. I have yet to receive my ***** case number from her.
5 attempts later, each time speaking to a different person, I eventually got help and a ***** case was created for me on 18/01/2019.
On the 25th January 2019, another Telkom debit order for the exact same amount went off my account, I phoned the bank and got a permanent stop on those Telkom debit orders so that they don't keep going through my account.
I have recently checked on my "Track your issue" on Telkom's website. The following progress steps are available: 1) Logged, 2) In Progress, 3) Job done, 4) Resolved.
I AM STILL ON LOGGED (18-01-2019 AT 16:02).
I am so glad that Telkom is so efficient at solving ***** cases, its not like this impacts on my credit rating, let alone all the time I have to take off work whilst I am trying to sort this out with a company that really could not give a **** about it.
