Telkom does not blacklist for prepaid customers

I lost my phone, telkom could not locate my IMEI number because im a prepaid user so say their consultants at the shop and at the consultant only contract users can retrieve the IMEI number. I managed to get the IMEI number through my bank but now when they are supposed to blacklist the phone they are unable to do so instead they are referring me to vodacom. Vodacom cant block my phone because im not on their network. I must say as much they are less, so as their service is less, which makes me questions their security levels. i still cannot blacklist my phone and cannot claim with my insurance company because i dont have an ITC number. Prepaid customers run, only contract customers are taken care of. They want you to have a contract with you so that they can milk you dry
