Telkom does it again

31 March 2017 I apply to move my line as I am moving house.

On 18 April 2017 I sent through a complaint on Hellopeter and Moenieb responded privately requesting my ID so that he can assist. I responded to him privately on Hellopeter on 19 April and I also emailed my details to ********** with subject AI ********** as provided by Monieb. Today is 4 May 2017 and I have not received a response from Moenieb or anybody at Telkom.

28 April i contact Telkom on line and I chat to an agent online. The agent was Sivuyile Welcome Msengana. I gave my agent the reference no. ********** 09a which is the reference number i received on 31 March 2017 when put in the move request. Sivuyile then stated that they cannot install my fixed line and adsl line at my new address as there is no infrastructure. I app**** on 31 March 2017 and this feedback was given to me on 28 April after I HAD TO ENQUIRE WITH TELKOM. Nobody had the decency or any kind of customer service tendency to inform me. I then asked her to cancel my adsl line and fixed line.

2 May 2017 between 8h00 and 8h30 I contacted the call centre on 10210 and spoke to Busi. I then enquired with my reference number ********** 09a if I could still do a transfer of ownership on line as a family member wanted me to transfer the fixed line and adsl line over to them at my previous residence. Busi confirmed that the line was not cancelled and I can still do the change of ownership. She also stated that the case was still open as the technicians will be coming to my new address to install my fixed line and adsl line soon. She said that I could follow up in 3 days to find out how far the technicians are. Needless to say I was happy that I can now have my telkom facility again.

3 May 2017 I go to the Telkom walk in centre at N1 City Mall and Rowena confirms that her system reflects that the line has been cancelled and i therefore cannot do the change of ownership and that there is no order on record for the line to be moved to my new address as there is no infrastructure.

Telkom - you are messing me around. You are waisting my time and money. I'm sick and tired of all the frustration experienced with Telkom. The manager at the N1 city walk in store is just as *********** as the staff in that store. Non-permanent staff are on the floor assisting when they don't have access to half the systems. The 1 permanent staff member that was there was so non-chalant with no willingness to check systems and help me.

Telkom is there infrastrucure in my new area for my fixed line and adsl line to be installed? Why was i told No and then Yes? Why was i **** to by Busi that i can still do a change of ownership.

Can somebody at Telkom take ownership of my complaint and give me facts and not information that they 'think' might be the case.

Telkom is the only provider of phone lines and adsl lines. This is pathetic. I can't wait for the day that you have competition. The incompetence of Telkom is beyond shocking.

Just a note to say THANK YOU to ROWENA at Telkom N1 city walk-in centre. She is 1 person within Telkom that at least tried her best to assist. Make her permanent and give her access to your systems. She will at least try and help your clients. Not like the other permanent staff and manager at that branch.
