Telkom disgusting service

I called Telkom to move my line to my new address on the 8th of June. It took 45min to place the order, ref. ********** 90A with confirmation the move will take place on the 28th. I followed up again on the 12th with another call to customer service, they confirmed that the order has been done. I called this morning to find out what time I can expect them. This time I'm told the order was not done and now have an incident ref. ********** which will take 48hours to attend and in the dark when my line will be moved. I work from home and will be without internet and work line to conduct my business and there is just no repercussion. This is a constant battle with Telkom and I can't cancel my contract until October. Why do we have to deal with such a bad company that has the monopoly and just don't care about giving the correct information or training their staff to their work properly? How long will I now be without the internet or a telephone to earn a living?

Dear Noleen

I am very confused with all the reference numbers I am being given. ref. 1 was "order reference" and confirmed move for 28/6 which never happened, reference 2 was "incident reference" and confirmed I'd be contacted within 24 to 48 hours (which has lapsed). now you are supplying me with reference no.3 a "fulfillment reference".

All these reference numbers are not resolving my line move that was logged on the 8th of June. Each of your customer care consultants has a different version of the procedure. The first call I was told I must phone on the day of the move and they will come out immediately. Which for obvious reasons I refused to believe and had to force this lady to do a move which took her 45 minutes on the phone with me and from what I can gather a deliberate action not to action the request.

I received a sms on the second reference of a notice of a move to an address that is not even my address and the 48 hours has since come and gone. Now I have to buy data from my mobile service to send and receive business emails.

What does your reference number mean?

Regards,

Celeste'
