Telkom - disappointed is an understatement

So I logged a fault last week Wednesday as I have no Internet service. The fault has been escalated and the problem is with the exchange.

I literally cannot keep track of how many times this has happened since September. In total I have been without internet service for more than 20 days, perhaps more.

The only thing that I stopping me from cancelling altogether is a fresh 24 month contract. Telkom have been unable to fix the repeated fault, make me wait for days without feedback unless I make the calls and neither are they willing to offer an alternative.

This is what all new Telkom customers can come to expect.

Hello Noleen.

I'm really not happy with the reply on Hellopeter. This is the reason for me complaining in the first place. The matter was escalated last week already....how many escalations are there because at the moment it feels like Telkom is feeding me with nonsense hoping that I will just leave this.

I won't at it's not acceptable. Same thing happened several times last month and I was told not to worry it will be deducted from my bill the following month. Needless to say I've had to log a bull dispute as well as being Internetless.

Great service from SA's leading internet service provider ? I think not. Please call me with a solution. You have my contact details. Thank you.

Hello,

Suprise suprise still the fault has not been resolved.

I'm not sure where to start except to say that I'm pretty disappointed by my experience with Telkom the last 2 months. My most recent fault log, which is now more than a week ago, was an opportunity for Telkom to change my view point.

Once again this demonstrates the inability of Telkom to keep in touch with it's customers. Not only referring to this emails sent to Steven (Telkom call centre, team leader) but also Nomvuyo (Social media department). I have now made numerous complaints to Telkom Support pleading that they keep me in the loop, which hasn't happened. We are approaching the weekend which means if I were a betting man, my fault will not be attended to or get priority until next week.

Please contact me on the below number to discuss the history on my account and cancellation of service. I shouldn't have to ask for you to do so, this is part of customer service.

Thank you.
