Telkom Deserve to fail

Good day,

The following question was asked: r.e. Account no *** Good Day, On the 12/03/2020 I received a call from Telkom Sales; they wanted me to migrate from ADSL to fiber. I was assured that my landline phone would be transferable to the fiber connection. The cost for uncapped 20Mbps download, 2Mbps upload would be R807.00 per month, this price included VAT, router, data, installation and 3GB data SIM card. I told the sales lady that I would first have to cancel my ADSL line. I was told that I did not have to as it was a migration and I “cannot be charged for both”. After confirming that Telkom would cancel my existing ADSL connection when the fiber was installed, I gave the go ahead for the migration. “ I asked the sales lady, Zano Bekwa, to please send me an email showing the product details and quoted cost. I received this email within a few minutes. Zanoxolo Bekwa (Z) [***] On the 19/03/2020 the courier company delivered the modem. No SIM Card was delivered. On the 24/03/2020 the fiber was ready to be used and the ADSL line disconnected. On the 13/04/2020 I received a courtesy call from Telkom to check if my ADSL is working. I told the lady that I am no longer using the ADSL as it was stopped when they installed the Fibre. I complained about the fact that Telkom had not yet moved my phone over to the fibre as they said they would. She said they have and that I should take my phone and plug it into the second position on the modem. After three calls it was obvious that the supp**** modem was different to the one she was talking about and did not have place to plug the phone into. I was told that the technical people were not working as it was a public holiday but they would get back to me the next day. 14/04/2020. Well I am still waiting, no working phone, no SIM Card, no useful answer when calling 10210 or 10213. All that I have received is an invoice dated the 5/4/2020 showing that I am still being billed for the ADSL and R2307.03 for the 8 days that I had the Fiber connection that costs R807.00 per month. As I am unable to get any assistance from the 10210 or 10213 numbers I Request Telkom to contact me on my Cell. No. So that we can sort the problem out. That is the email that was sent and delivered and read.

It is now six 6 months later and I have received yet another SMS stating that this account is in arrears. It is not, what is in arrears is the service from Telkom.

Well I am still waiting, no working phone, no SIM Card, no useful answer when calling 10210 or 10213

If, after hearing from the supervisor, you are still not satisfied, you may escalate your complaint to the office of the Regional Customer Care Manager by calling FreeCall ***, and quoting your reference number.

Guess what, like the rest of Telkom that number also does not work.

When will I receive the product that was quoted on and ordered, can Telkom At least reply to customer complaints?
