Telkom deducts money from bank account for months after duration of contract ends.

I took out a 24 month 100 GB internet contract with Telkom at the end on 2016. Before the contract expired I moved to China for work. Before I left I went to AaTelkom store in Eastgate mall to ensure that when the contract duration is over it wont carry on every month. I was told it would be stopped. I also sent an email from here in China telling them to not let the contract carry on over the two years and even gave them my ID number to get the correct contract. During my time here I lost my cell phone with my Vodacom number on it and my parents tried to inform me using that number on Whatsapp that the internet was still active. So that means I was never told and they carried on using it, I also could not access my online banking without that number thus could not see that Telkom was taking my money every month. I went home to visit my family in August 2019 and went to the bank and saw that Telkom had been taking my money long after the two year duration of contract had ended. I reversed the last debit order and went to another Tekom shop in Eastgate and asked for it to be cancelled in person and was told it would be turned off and stopped. Fast forward to 13 September 2019 and they again took money from my account. Telkom keeps deducting money from my account. I also have the email from December 2018 where they acknowledged receiving my email asking for the contract to be stopped when the 24 month duration ends.

Beware of Telkom, they will take your money when they have no right. It is safer to choose other companies as they cancelled all my contracts when I requested it.
