Telkom debit with no confirmed order

Episode 1 - I placed an order for DSL internet about 3 weeks ago and did not get any feedback. I tried getting hold of Telkom numerous times and when I managed to eventually get hold of a consultant I was advised that a technician came to my area and noted that there's no copper infrastructure in my area so they canceled the order without notifying me.

Episode 2 - I placed an online order (thinking that it will be less of a hassle than going in to the store) for a S20 FE mobile device and was told that everything is gone through, and if I remember correctly that I should expect delivery in 3 to 5 days. A week had gone by and I didn't even get a notification saying an order was placed etc, so I called telkom and was advised that its still queued for a credit check. I mentioned to the consultant that it's an unreasonable wait and my order hasn't even been processed as yet and further advised that he should cancel the order and I will take the contract out elsewhere (Vodacom). He did the cancellation and provided a reference number. Yesterday I got 2 sms's from telkom telling me that my order has been declined during a credit check vetting process. I was fine with this as I thought that this was due to the cancellation of order I put through last week and the fact that I already got the phone from Vodacom last week, and its worth noting within 20 minutes of walking in to the store. Today I get an sms from my bank being a notification of the ******** debit of R699 from telkom. There was insufficient funds, so there will now be a R150 bank charge because of Telkoms pathetic service.

The striking will begin when their lazy staff are reprimanded, but right now they all catching a jol. I've also experienced this a few times and heard it from others, that many staff do not provide reference numbers for calls. I've spoken to a few people that did not provide this and some that did.
