Telkom Debit Orders Beware | Accounts & Penalties

last month I had a debit order that did not go through. I immediately made a payment. I continues to receive messages stating that the account was not paid even though it was. I was treated like it was a bad debt when it was not. I made several calls but it did not get resolved. They later debited my account for the following month bill without any notice. This money was meant for something else.

I later find a penalty fee on my next bill. Just over R200,00. This is very high. one months instalment. I wonder how many people experience this every month. It is also unfair that we the consumer get hit hard with not recourse.

Companies should also pay penalties for malpractice.
