Telkom debit order enquiry

Morning, I have just been on the line with telkom and been notified that my debit order was cancelled without any authorisation from myself.

I have a debit set for the last day of every month.

End of March, no debit order went off. The monthly instalment was then deducted 9 April 2020, a R1008,92. On 16 April 2020 Telkom tried debiting my account with another R1008,92 and then politely returning the money on the same day and I received R147 back charges. Note that the account has already been paid 9 April 2020 which telkom has confirmed. On 20 April 2020, telkom once again debited my account with R1008,92 and once again retuning the money. I called the call centre and spoke to Thato, she then advised me that telkom has uncorrectly debited my account twice and the monthly payment has been received 9 April 2020 and she apologised.

Today, 12 May 2020, I receive an sms stating my services would be disconnected and I have an outstanding balance of R2017,84.

Telkom has not debited my account 30 April 2020, only to find out when I called the call centre that the collections has cancelled my debit order. I have received no notification of this nor was my account in arrears for it to be handed over to collections.

Telkom has been doing this since February 2020 on my bank account causing me to have loads of bank charges and charging me late payment because according to them my payments are late yet a debit order is setup on the account and as seen in April they debit my account 3 times for the month.

I was advised telkom has no complaints line well now we know why.

The staff is *********** and do not provide the correct information.

When I told the agent who I spoke to 12 May 2020, how could my account have been handed to collections when the account was paid 9 April 2020 and they debited me the 16th and 20th of April 2020 and returned my money, the agent could not answer me.

Someone, please help or tell me what I can do.
