Telkom data running out quickly

Why when your contract is about to finished with Telkom then the data start running too fast. I used to use 40G of data that used to last a month, now it doesn't at all. Witbin a week after a topup, it is finished. I then had to add 40G or even 60G on top of that 40G. Had someone else also experienced this?
