Telkom cut line and do not supply new phone

My mother is 88 years old. The only means pf comminication was by landline. Telkom then promised to supply a sim phone and the cancelled the copperline phone. It is now 8 months and no phone was supp****. No ***. After a lifelong customer of telkom is this the way to handle their old customers. Sies!!!!
