Telkom credit department

Why is it so hard to get a paid up letter from Telkom creditors. I have been phoning their 10210 number for the past month and all they can say is I must be patient because the Telkom credit don't take phone calls. I need some kind of contact because it is affecting my ITC credit and I need to get that account closed up and paid on my report as soon as possible.
