Telkom Covid 19 opinions

I cannot believe Telkom has no options available for their clients undergoing retrenchment based on Covid 19, after emailing them for assistance and a number of calls (two calls spending 30 minute waiting, call was answered and cut), I was simply advised to go into their store. What kind of service is that? My network has been revoked, as I have yet to receive any kind of salary dating back 2 months (including TERS), which was the reason for my call - I was enquiring if they could reconnect my network, as I'll require my phone to make arrangements and alternatively to source new employment. I was transferred to collections/accounts, offered a downgrade to a cheaper package or any kind of service from Telkom. I'm now reaching the end of my contract and am totally disappointed, as I have a solid payment record and for the first time in my life facing retrenchment, neither Sanelisiwe 08 July 2020 09H40, nor Luwethu Mthethwa was able to provide me with any kind or information or possibly transfer me to someone who could just listen and explain to me what I need to do. Obviously none of this is in my control, Covid 19 has impacted everyone (some worst than others) and it's sad such a big business has no measures in place. I mean at least provide me with the option to cancel, I'm stating I've been retrenched, received no salary in two months including the government funding and that there will be no salary this month, only to be told to go into the store - totally disgusted! Never again will I encourage or advise anyone to take up the Telkom network, solely based on their poor service during these crucial times - clear as a business they either poorly train their service staff or do not take initiative and think ahead.
