Telkom Copper service migration to Wireless

With Telkom phasing out Copper service for home use I received a call from them in April informing me that they migrating existing Copper customers to Wireless. I accepted and they promised that I will be receiving a call within a week advising me on when the delivery will be made for the device.

Nothing happened till 25 July when Ireceived messages from their Courier company notifying me of delivery which turned to be a nightmare to me as they called me about my brother's delivery who leaves in the Westrand and I'm in the Eastrand. When I question as to why they calling me about his delivery they stated that they have my number as contact which I then suspected that someone inside could have switched my details with my brother to speed up his delivery of the Wireless instrument as when I questioned him he said he app**** for service on 10th of July.

I have been calling Telkom till holiday I haven't received an instrument to use they only delivered aSimcard that I cannot use on 26 July.

I even got worried that their POPI process might not be up to scratch as they called me with the delivery that doesn't belong to me and I wasn't a second contact person for the delivery. Maybe Telkom group their customers profiles same person's with the same last name.

To date my Copper line service was disconnected and don't have the Wireless service working I'm just sitting with the Simcard that was delivered without a device to use it with.
