Telkom - Connecting you to nothing
On the 15 March 2019, I moved. I went into a Telkom store in Promenade Mitchell's Plain to ask about moving my landline to the new my new residence. I was advised to complete a cancellation form online to cancel my landline and then apply for a new one instore. I completed the form only to find out that there is migration option. I called customer services and asked to migrate my landline to the new address. I spoke to Fatimah confirmed that I would get a call from a technician with a order number and to set a date to install the landline. She said this will happen in 24-48 hours. But guess what!? No one called!!. I called customer services a week later only to find out that my order was cancelled because this "Fatimah" entered the incorrect address. Although I gave the address to her phonetically. A kind customer service agent then placed a new order where I was issued immediately with a order number. Again, I was advised to wait 24-48 hours for a call from a technician to set a date to install the landline. Again, no call. I called customer services again only to tell me that my order is with the address verification department and they are struggling with getting my address. I said okay, and asked how long will this take. 2-3 days the agent said. 4 days later, no call or notification from Telkom. It's the middle of April and I'm still waiting for this pathetic excuse of a company to resolve my issue.
If, by a miracle of the Almighty, you decide to contact me, call my father. The type of work I do does not allow me to have my phone with me. I will only be available from 4pm.
