Telkom completely rips off people

<p>We recently bought a house with an existing telephone copper line in it. I went to telkom cape gate mall to have it carry over to my name. No i want them to allocate a number to me. Ive called several times the call centre to have this sorted out with no luck. Their story is that they doesnt pick up any line to the adress i gave them and that they must send someone out to install a new line wich theyll bill to me. How the hell cant they pick up their own line? Dont they have records? Personaly i think they just want to make money out of the system. They are holding the dice in this monopoly game. Ripping people off because theirs no other service providers.</p>
