Telkom committing *****

So I'm posting this here since I have had no joy resolving the problem with your Mall @ Carnival branch or your useless call center.

On the 24th April 2016 our ADSL line started having problems, call logged on 26th April 2016. Fault (189CRK260416) never fixed, but closed automatically. Logged another fault on 3rd May 2016, and again on 05 May. Everytime it was tested with no defects (as per SMS history). Yet we had no internet. This is AFTER we were told our router was broken and I had to replace it. Filter was replaced as well. Both replace at our own expense!!

All this time we couldn't do business and staff had to stay home to work.

So I decided to cancel the line and get an LTE router instead. First cancellation was sent on 18 May 2016 15:00:21 to the following addresses: ********** ********** ********** ********** />2nd Cancellation email was sent on 23 May 2016 08:36:04 after no responses from any of the above emails were received.
3rd cancellation was sent on 8 Jun 2016 09:38:16

TO date, our line hasn't been cancelled, nor is it working, yet we have to pay for it.
Further to this, I've been paying for a service called "Telkom single number" since October 2015 - yet I never got the number to use, nor could ANYONE help me get it working! That is a subscription fee of R86.84 + VAT per month, or R1088.9736 to date that I'm paying for something which doesn't exist!

1. Consumers cannot cancel Telkom services at the office, nor over the phone. The ONLY way to cancel a service is to send an email to an unknown person, who doesn't respond to emails. This is against the National Consumer Act.
2. Since I was charged for a product which was never delivered, a FULL REFUND is expected. NOT AS CREDIT, BUT THROUGH EFT / CASH.
3. Blacklisting me for not paying for a service? This sounds like business malpractice to me.
4. Claiming VAT on a product, NOT delivered. Again, I'm sure #SARS would like to know about this since it's TAX *****.

I expect a FULL refund for the Telkom single number, which never worked, was never supp****, with no information on how to use it was given.
I also expect a FULL REFUND for services undelivered asof 24 April 2016.
Furthermore I expect the line to be CANCELLED.

If NO RESOLUTION is given in 5 business days, legal action will be taken against Telkom Pty Ltd.
This notice, along with supporting SMS, emails and phone records will be given to the Police, the DTI, SARS, The National Consumer Tribunal and the National Credit Regulator.

This matter will now be escalated to Carte Blance, ICASA, DTI, SARS and The National Consumer Tribunal.

Seeing how many other people have the same problems, I am sure both SARS and ICASA will have a field day with Telkom. A quick VAT Audit will probably reveal a lot more than you wanted it to.

I also think a class action lawsuit will very easily be achieved.

This is quite amazing. 6 days ago you said you're busy with the investigation, then cancel the line for the end of JUNE! The line has been defective since May and I am forced to pay for June as well? How do you pay for something that is defective?

I asked the an account statement from the start of this contract, but head nothing back. Nothing. Nada. NONE. So you consider this matter resolved? Please explain the logic behind that?

This NO STATEMENT! Wow, you guys really lowered the bar of service in this country to below ground level. I guess the burnt universities are a direct result of your influence.
