Telkom commits contract *****
Account ***+CASE ***4

My 2 year broadband contract came to an end on 4 January 2016. I gave notice in September 2015 that I wanted to end my contract on expiry of the 2 yrs contract period. They advised I should wait because their system cannot handle such a long notice period. Again gave notice on 3 December 2015. Now they are telling me that I signed a 3 year contract. I send them a copy of the contract which does not indicate the contract period, but in their legal jargon it states a contract is for a maximum period of 2 years and that was what I was advised when signing the contract at the Fourways branch as well.

Response from Maxine Rustoff (call centre representative) on 15 Feb 2016:

\Thanks for the Application form Kindly be advise that on the original form the store will write 36 months on that form not on yours but I will escalate it.\"

So the Telkom Representative at Fourways went and added that it is a 36 month contract after providing me with the copy of the original contract. That is *****!!!!!

.....And Telkom is still charging me. So how long does it take to resolve this matter and reimburse me for the service I already cancelled on 3 December 2015.

"
