Telkom charges *******y for services that were not received plus extra penalty on top

We have been Telkom customers for more than 20 years. We received our last bill in post at the end of February and paid it in front as requested for the line usage for March. Because of Corona virus and lockdown, we HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY BILLS for March, April and May. At the end of June, 2 WEEKS AFTER THE PAYMENT DATE WAS DUE, and 2 weeks after our phone WAS SWICHED OFF, we received a huge bill for R1050. NO INFORMATION WAS GIVE WHY THE AMOUNT WAS SO HIGH. The bill DID NOT INCLUDE INVOICES FOR MARCH, APRIL OR MAY, no breakdown of the total amount whatsoever. We tried to contact Telkom on two occasions, but after more than 40 min on the cellphone with no one to answer the call, we hung up. One day I went to Telkom office, and was told that you can lodge a query online. I didn't know of this information before. Immediately we were called back and invoices for previous months were send. The problem is, that Telkom is *******ly charging us for a line that was disconnected. I don't mind paying for the line when it was used, but I refuse to pay for a line that is till today disconnected, yet we receiving invoices for it. We have always paid our invoices on time. I can't pay for something that I have not received for 3 months and especially when you are not able to reach anyone at Telkom. Plus, the invoice for June was send AFTER the payment deadline and 2 weeks after the phone was disconnected!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I WILL NOT PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT I HAVE NOT RECIVED. MY TELEPHONE IS SWITCHED OFF, YET I AM BILLED. If this is how Telkom is treating their long term customers, that have been with them for over 20 years. I find Telkom's service absolutely disgusting!!! If they want to keep us as customers, they need to take off the ******* charges for service that were not provided. I don't mind paying what we owe to Telkom, but to bill us for a disconnected phone AND CHARGE PENALTY ON TOP, is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.
