Telkom center point milnerton bad service

I bought and Rica'd a telkom sim card in pick n pay centre point since I was there shopping. I wanted to port my number to telkom. I tried several times manually at home and every time it said service temporarily suspended. I thus finally decided to go in-store at the telkom in centre point to do the number porting with the sim card I had bought at pick n pay. The customer service agent told me I need to get a sim card from them even though I had a sim card that I had already bought and Rica'd at the pick n pay. I was told I need to get a new sim card and rica it again to be able to port my number. What's the point of selling sim cards at retail outlets then??? The customer service agent wasn't helpful either, he was petulant and didn't acknowledge me. He looked at his screen the whole time. I left the sim card I bought at mtn on his desk and left.
