TELKOM CELLPHONE/LANDLINE

We moved into a retirement village and was told that there are no Telkom land lines but they can help us with a Telkom cellphone line, which we then signed for two years. We did not know that there were only certain landline numbers that could be phoned. I tried to phone my daughter on a 011- ..... no but then it says that there is no funds available on the phone. Then I tried a friend on a 013- ... no, with the same answer, and the same with other landline numbers happened. I could not understand why because as far as I know those numbers are all landline numbers!! I then went to Telkom to ask them why I cannot phone those numbers and was told that those numbers could be from another switchboard company!!! Why not tell us this when they sold the contract??? I have 3000 minutes every month which I need to pay for but can only use 3 numbers, one a 081 number!! We never knew that this was the case. If we did, we would never signed for this contract which we cannot make use of. Why not told us when we bought this contract!!!! I am 78 years old and do not know about all this new technology!!!
