Telkom Cancelled Sim Unacceptable Service

At the Telkom shop at Blue Route mall, Cape Town, I asked to get my sim transferred from contract (as my contract had ended) to prepaid. Telkom completely ignored my request at the store and have cancelled my sim which I am now unable to use or load data. There is no service and it has clearly NOT been transferred to prepaid, instead it has been deactivated.

This is even after I was specifically assured that I would not lose my number and that I could continue to use my sim with prepaid services. My reference number is ***3. The store obviously requested the incorrect action when they put through my request. It is unacceptable service!!!
