Telkom Cancellations-welcome to the twilight zone

I submitted a cancellation form to Telkom on 14/10/15 providing 30 days' notice to cancel my Telkom telephone line, ADSL line and data bundle. I have since been billed for these services for the period 18 November - 17 December. I called Billings last week (20/11) who 'escalated' the query back to the cancellations department, with the promise that I would be contacted within two working days. This has not happened. I called Billings again today, only to be told the cancellation is still not effected. When I asked to be put through to Cancellations I was told that (wait for it) they have no phones (irony, anyone?). I escalated this to a supervisor in Billings who confirmed this, saying she's not sure who works there, but they can't be reached in any way other than e-mail. And therefore I will just have to 'wait', while accepting that I could be billed indefinitely (and prosecuted for non-payment) for services I legitimately cancelled.

To be blunt, this is beyond unacceptable - it is ludicrous. If anyone in the ether of Cancellations happens to stumble upon this complaint, let me know. In the meantime, let me type this very slowly and clearly: I. Will. NOT. Pay.
