Telkom Cancellation - 4 months later

So I cancelled my mobile contracts (x2) in April due to emigrating. I've been asked to send through the cancellation form twice, and my id details twice. Each month I'm still having 1k taken out of my bank account. Obviously I'm out of the country so there's no data usage or phone usage on these accounts.

In light of that, I want my cancellation to go through immediately as well as for the R4000.00 that has been taken so far to be absorbed into the final rate.

Thanks Keagan. Looking forward to some resolution on this.

Hi,
Very unsatisfactory response.
So the contract actually ends in Feb 2018, not 18 months from now as stated on the document? It was a 24 month contract taken out in February 2016.
If I paid the contract monthly until February it would cost less than the cancellation.
This is a bit redundant - especially considering the 4 months of repayments I have been making since cancellation request.
Please recalculate accordingly.

Adding to this - I was assured that this was the correct amount (please note that simple maths was provided: 2900 + 2900 = 6580 ???)
This is way more than I would pay if I paid monthly to the end of the contract. In spite of this:
service provider can only charge a “reasonable penalty” which in terms of Regulation 14(2) of the CPA means that they “may not exceed a reasonable amount”.In other words the service provider is expressly prohibited from charging the full amount owing in respect of the remainder of the contract.
So I will be itholding ALL payment going forward and have contacted the regulatory authorities about this
