Telkom cancellation

I cancelled my contract expecting a penalty but was assured that there are none and that I just have to give a 1 month notice period during which the line will still be active. You have guessed it - line was disconnected the next day and I am still being billed despite being assured that I can dispute it. And now nobody can help or retrieve these calls in which i was assured there will be no further costs!
