Telkom cancel my +/-35 year old cell number

I ask for changes on my account about two months ago. Last week I received a SMS that my request was done and the next thing my cell phone showed no service. Phone Telkom business and they said my contract was cancelled, but they will give it through to the back office to rectify the problem. It is now a week later and my number is still off. Went into the Telkom shop and they said they will report the fault. Somebody did phone me and said he will rectify the problem. Did receive some numbers that I must call, but every body says they can only look into Landlines. Very frustrated.
