Telkom can **** your business

Have a Telkom LTE Wi-Fi Modum. Have not had an internet connection for two and a half weeks now.

Phone every day and are told that they are escelating the complaint and that we must just wait until they call us to make an appointment. To date nothing.

Phoned the accounts department and told them we are not prepared to pay for non-service and they also say they will escelate the complaint. How do you get through to someone who actually does anything. They are great with their sales promises but forget to tell you how shocking their follow-up service is.

We are at our wits end now. For a fledgling business to not have internet for going on three weeks is ****ing us quickly.

Thank you for your response.
Waiting with baited breath. Three weeks down the line now and will give you a big thanks right here if we have a technician actually come out this week.
If not we will be pleased to make a note here again

So in total desperation and after another phone call not getting us anywhere, took the Huawei modem to a Telkom shop where the technician advised that 'the modem needs to be updated online'. He duly did that for us and we are back in business.
Now, not in any phone call did anyone advise us that this has to be done, nor did we get a pop up message to this effect.
To add insult to injury when we lodged a dispute about not paying for the data that we could not use, we were told that 'it was loaded and not their problem if we did not use it'. The only effective way to deal with this kind of service is to through all your toys out of the cot, raise your voice to its highest pitch and make them hear you.
Hope this can help others deal with the same problem
