Telkom Business - Guaranteed to put you OUT of Business!

In September 2023 a Telkom sales Representative, Sheryane Enock, offered our Business, a Bakery, to upgrade our Lines from Fixed Lines to Voip and ADSL to LTE.

It only took Telkom 3 months to get the package ready, when they initially promised 2 weeks. Every time i contacted Sherayne, there was another excuse, typical Telkom.

In December, 3 weeks ago, our fixed lines were disconnected and the Yealink Voip phone arrived, but no Modem and Sim card for the LTE. That took Telkom another 2 weeks to deliver.

The Modem Finally arrived, then we had to wait 24 hours (very lucky and miraculous that the sim card activated in 24 hours), the internet is working. Miracle 1.

The Voip phone still doesn't work.

Contacted Telkom 10217 Business Technical Support, which only works till 4:30pm on weekdays and is closed after that and on weekends and Public Holidays. So if you are a Business and you are with Telkom and you need after hours support, you can get stuffed, Telkom doesn't care. However, if you are a private house, then there you have 24 hour support... Go figure...

I jave spent 4 hours a day for thr last 3 weeks to get our Voip line sorted.

From Telkoms side they see that the line is active, from my side, i cannot receive or make calls. I was told to call 10217, 10214 and none of these departments can help me, instead they say that "Daniel" feom Backoffice will have to call me back, as he is the only ome who can assist me with the setup and configuration of the VOIP phone.

So now i have to wait for Daniel, one Technician that can fix my problem.

Seriously Telkom??? You have 1 Technician to attend to VOIP faults???

STAY FAR AWAY FROM TELKOM - FOR TELKOM BUSINESS OR PRIVATE, STAY FAR AWAY.

Rather pay a bit more money and go with any other provider, other than Telkom.

Over the last 15 Years Telkom has gone from worse to worse!

Extremely frustrating dealing with Telkom and staff that have no idea what to do, especially since it takes them 45 minutes to answer your call!!!
