Telkom business clients consider VOIP from private firms instead
I hate to complain. We have a business *** and moved offices 500m down the road on 30 July. 14 July we contacted Telkom to move the line and logged the request through their call centre. We contacted them every 3-4 days and the past 2 weeks every second day. The operators circumvent the system by not acknowledging the calls on their side. Through someone we know in different dept. we asked to look on the system 2 weeks ago and he said they have not logged anything, even though every time on the phone the operator says "i am doing this and that". In the meantime the dont type anything on their computer and put the phone down as if the call was dropped. So they meet their KPI and unless someone listen to each call the operator is off the hook apparently doing their job. So we called today and spoke to Adrian, who profusely refuse to let us speak to a supervisor. He absolutely refuses to allow us to escalate! Can we have Adrian in a disciplinary hearing for this with a formal warning! Now we cancel our line and use VOIP. It is less effort to give hundreds of clients a new phone number than to get stuck inside Telkom. For everyone wanting new lines - use VOIP from the start! Telkom call centre manager is not doing their job if they allow their staff to circumvent the software in this way and then block people from access to supervisors. Multichoice is about to retrench thousands of call centre operators. Telkom is next. This way your clients will either leave or you need a way to support your clients without a call centre.
