Telkom breaks the law and then ignores the customer because they're entitled to

Two months ago, I got a defective phone from Telkom when signing a new contract with them. I took it back on the 7th day for a replacement and the staff insisted that Telkom does not do replacements (against the law). After the male supervisor at the Fourways Mall branch booked it in for repairs, I insisted that they comply with the law and replace the phone. He did not allow it. One month later (after much error by the repairs department) he finally agreed that I should get a replacement. I have not got the replacement yet. I have called the Telkom call centre many times because Brian does not comply but even the managers there don't help. One has been supposed to call me for two weeks now as she is supposed to be attending to the issue but she hasn't and every time I call in, she's too busy to talk to me.

Why does Telkom employ such *********** people? And why is nothing done when one of their supervisors breaks the law?

Needless to say, this review is not going to get me anywhere with resolving this issue as Telkom doesn't give a ****, but I hope people read this and think twice about signing any contract with Telkom. They're a typical south african state owned entity with poor service provision.

After finally getting the CEO's office contact details from a third party, the issue was quickly sorted out.
