TELKOM BILLS for SERVICES that have been CANCELLED!
On 09 October 2017 I sent a cancellation request to ********** In the mail I included a copy of my ID and a completed cancellation form. On the very same day I received a confirmation email from Residential Fixed Retentions confirming the receipt of my request and advising that in 21 days I would hear back from them.
At month end 25 Oct 2017 I paid my bill of R354 thinking this would be my last bill. The following month my services were disconnected, I cannot send or receive calls on the landline.
It is now 11 January 2018 and I am still being billed. My account is sitting at over R1,000 . I called Telkom 2 weeks ago to follow up and explained my issue. The representative advised that I will be reimbursed for the billing and also confirmed that my form was completed and accurate. He gave no reference number and no follow up. Half the time I believe those reps are providing false information knowing that you cannot trace the call. I have yet to receive a response. This is beyond ridiculous. In 2018 with so much competition Telkom has the worst customer service and product provider.
Why am I still being billed and why is Telkom's customer service so lacking? For this reason I will never suggest Telkom to a family or friend. I could've easily signed up for Telkom's Fibre services but due to the inability to provide reliable service on the landline, it is an indication of what I would've been dealing with had I subscribed to their other services.
