Telkom big Con- Telcon!

<p> I get a call from TELKOM not once but 14 times with someone offering me Mobile TALK with 50 GB what? They say it will save me money and it has a longer range of 250m coverage. So…..on the 14th call I give in and take Telkom up on their offer….many days later this Huawei LTE modem arrives with a courier….and I get a tech savvy youngster to set it up to be told that the sim card is not activated….MANY Calls to TELKOM later I am told it takes 72 WORKING hours before I will get connected….so for 5 days ( there was a weekend in between) I glance every now and then, expectantly at the red light on my NEW LTE Modem/router that is going save me all this money and is best thing since bubble gum……until one day the light turns from red to….wait for it….green! So now I have 50 GB of data to watch movies till my eyes go square ….but guess what? Weak signal not even 50 meters away… (But it’s meant to have 250m range) I get my Tech Savvy dude in AGAIN…he spends 2 hours and 5 dropped calls on the line with TELKOM to get help, to find out. To no avail. SO BEFORE the cut off on day 5, I call and cancel this service followed up by an e mail. So now 3 months later, I am STILL getting debited a larger and larger amount every month from Telkom. I go to the bank and return it and the bank charges me R48. I take the modem to Telkom, to give it back, they tell me they cant take it back it belongs to Mobile Talk not Telkom....round and round......What the hell!!!</p>
