Telkom beware how you treat your clients

So I know this is probably a point in futility... but I am at my wits end. My telkom line has been fault now for a week with not a word from telkom, despite me logging a call a week ago and constantly calling the call center for updates. I just keep getting its assigned to the technician, which nobody seems to be able to get hold of. Its amazing how quick they go all out if your payment is late... but have zero f**** to give if its the other way round. My line is forever going faulty, and they cant seem to fix it. It works for a month or 2 then goes faulty again... and I go through the texan 2 step with the call center again. I feel sorry for the call center agents who have to keep making excuses for terrible technicians. How can it take a WEEK to fix a normal line fault? They have not even had the decency to phone me and provide an update. Maybe I must just stop paying telkom. Yet telkom wants to keep clients, and is fighting to retain business from subscribers.... here is a tip. GIVE THE SERVICE PEOPLE EXPECT AND PAY FOR! It goes a long way. I'm so over explain the problem over and over again to different call center agents, and getting the same responses, which basically amount to "We cant really help you, or dont care to" but PLEASE... keep giving us your money. Well Telkom...come get your money.... Im not going to give it to, you must work for it. Good luck...

Hi Portia, So to follow up on this conversation... I have yet to hear any further from Telkom regarding this, and on top of this my line worked correctly for literally a few days before going faulty again. BUT... telkom is very quick to send me a bill for the FULL amount, no discount for the extended periods my lines was not working properly, and they expect me to pay for it? Can you see why the frustration? Telkom never delivers on what is expected of them, but they expect me as a consumer to honor my responsibility of paying? Imagine buy a new house, setting up monthly payments, but when you try move in... the house is not complete, so you cant use it as you expect to. However, you are still expected to pay for living in the house. How happy would you be about that? The principal is exactly the same. I pay my bill every month, in full, however I cant seem to get what I am paying for... I have had to log a call AGAIN, because my line is faulty, its slower than what I'm paying for and its started dropping again. Lets see how long it takes for them to come fix it...again. On another point... telkom is more than happy to increase my line speed over the telephone, but refuse to reduce the line speed over the phone? How is that different? I dont have time to go into a branch to do this.... I thought telkom was a technology company. It seems this technology is still out of reach... or is it a sales ploy to keep getting more money... Im am extremely annoyed now.
