Telkom being the death of me

Never again!!!!! Telkom ruined everything for me!!!!

I had a landline wifi installed ***) for about a year untill telkom disconnect my line after sending a letter saying it's due to theft in my area which was perfectly understandable. However! Even though they sent me a letter to say it's disconnected they've been billing me all this time. I've went into telkom multiple times to have it cleared however they keep saying they understand and it's pending. Now the debt collecters called me to say I owe R2000 others wise my credit score will be effected which means I can't buy a house!!! Does it makes sense for me to cancel my line after you guys SENT ME A LETTER THAT MY LINE WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO THEFT IN THE AREA!!!!!!!!!!

How do you guys sleep at night??????
