Telkom bad services

I have been a customer of Telkom for 30 years. When we moved from Umhlanga to Cape Town it took Telkom a year to just get my address changed. Unbelievebale!!! The bill was incorrect as well, we had to be downgraded as they couldnt provide the same service in our new residential area. After hours on the phone, numerous emails, and visitng the Bayside Mall over-and-over... they just did not get it right.

Yet I remained a loyal customer...

Two months ago we swtiched to LTE. Oh my word, what a mess! The LTE works just fine but again Telkom cannot get the address and biloling right. I have again spend many hours on the phone, I physically went into the Bayside Mall Telkom shop twice to sort out the address and billing which is incorrect... and still not fixed.

Today I spend an hour in the phone to Telkom, being transferred from one Agent to another. And guess what? STILL NOT SORTED OUT.

Honestly, Telkom, you need to get it right. The competition is tough in the ICT industry. And for a loyal customer to take this amount of '****' and to remain with you...

Well, I am now cancelling my telephone line after 30 years, because this is just to stressful for me to handle any longer. In terms of LTE... well let's see if you can get my address right...

Thank you Launa. I would appreciate your help.

These are the problems:

1) Billing for last 2 Months on Telkom Landline has been wrong - we should only be billed for a Landline (week and evening calls free) @ R206-00 pm (amount agreed upon when we changed to LTE on 3 March 2017). All other services were supposed to be cancelled. Therefore, a credit for April 2017 Invoice Amount R726-85 less R206-00 = R520-85, and May 2017 InvoiceAmount R740-75 less R206-00 = R534-75. I assume the bill for June 2017 will also be incorrect.

2) LTE mobile - our address is and has been for the last 18 months - 5 Welgelengen Road, Tableview, Cape Town, 7441. I have no idea why the system picked up Umhlanga (which was our previous address) when we changed to LTE? I updated our Postal and Physical address at Bayside Mall Telkom shop several times last year.

3) I got married and my surname is now Ross-Germishuys. Again, I went to Telkom Bayside several times with my original marriage certificate and new smart ID, but my surname is still incorrect.

I have been so frustrated which resulted in me writing a review on HelloPeter, no something I like to do at all. As a matter of fact the 1st time I have even done this.

I have been a client of Telkom's since I was 19 years old and of course would like to continue if my problems are resolved.

Thanks again

Chantal
