Telkom bad service

I phoned telkom on 25 June wanting to cancel my account. I asked the lady if I only have to pay one more amount and she said yes. Yesterday I went to the telkom store and asked the lady there if my account was canceled and she said no. She then helped me cancel my account and only there after said that I will be billed as my account can only be canceled in October. I asked her why she didn't tell me that before canceling and she said I wanted to cancel and that's all she can do for me. I am very upset with telkom service! That's the reason I want to cancel but I feel she could have told me that I have a contract until Oktober.
