Telkom bad business!

I had a business in George, Western Cape which I closed due to COVID-19.

I went to our local Telkom office several kilometers away to cancell my service more than one month in advance (end of June 2020) where it was brought to my attention that I must remember that I will still receive an account in August for July 2020 which I understand.

I went back to Telkom office on 2 August 2020 to ensure my account was closed to finish payment etcetra and was served by Tsepo Ramaremela who only indicated that the account is still active and will be closed.

On 28 October I went back to Telkom and was served by Georgia who advised me that the correct process was to:

a) First settle the amount on the account otherwise it cant be processed. b) wait a week to show settlement on account c) Phone Telkom and cancell service d) log a complaint regarding poor service delivery

So I paid the R2907.65 on the same day, waited the week and phone Telkom to cancell the service.

I was served by Thembisa Tayi and she Informed me that I must send an e-mail with a copy of my ID included to cancel the service and log the complaint. She gave me the e-mail addresses for both.

I did what she said and also send my banking dteails with because I expect Telcom to refund me for charges after July 2020.

I Receive 2 Mails back -

One to state that I cant send a mail and that I had to fill in the documents attached.

The complaint regarding poor service delivery was undesirable.

Who appoint, train and monitor these people?

If I dont receive satisfactory replies within a week I will investigate other methods - the question remains, can I do business with susch a company?
