Telkom Backlisted Me and I’m struggling to end the nightmare of daily persecution

I am sincerely shocked at the desperation of Telkom to remain a relevant supplier of technology. Their service has really gone down over the past 5 years. I initially app**** for a landline. Nothing happened after installation for two weeks: calls and complaints brought no service as their staff was on strike. I removed the device and politely returned it to the Canal Walk store with its paperwork. How blessed am I that they were able to cancel that effectively.

I app**** for a cellphone contract. Same story but different process. No instore service other that new contracts. I got an iPhone 8 on a good deal and signed for debit orders. I went in prior to the first month of the first account to verify the upcoming charges. I was assured that nothing was out of place and no surprises would be upcoming.

My first bill was astronomical!! Secondly, the deduction happened on the wrong date!! I nagged and complained. To no avail. I took the device and paperwork back in to the same guy who assisted me in the first place: Keenan Jordaan. He said he would try to sort it out but I was too mad to entertain any “try”.

Since then my life is a living hell. From NuDebt to VVM to some new debt collector in Durban is trying to squeeze me for R18000 and change!!!! I emailed them all proof of the canceled contract. Once I received an email from Telkom that the matter was withdrawn. This I also sent to the call centers. One after the other would back off then a new one would start up.

I’m so sick of this I can spit nails. I have no bad debts or record other than this Telkom WHICH OF COURSE HAS BLACKLISTED ME!!!!!!

How do I get rid of these monsters??! If it wasn’t for their bad service in the first place I may actually have been a happy customer. Disgusting!!!! And to fight with call centers who buy over these “debts” hoping to sustain a living is just horrid. I hate them. They hate me. Not a good reflection on humanity at all.
