Telkom attempting to debit amounts from bank account not agreed to.

We have taken a mobile contract with Telkom in November 2017. We requested that the contract be capped at R1, which means that our bill will never be more than R250 per month. Up till March Debit Order we had no problems, then in April Telkom wanted to debit our account for R664, monies we did not have. They then advised that the contract was never capped. They then put through a credit on the account for R664 to cancel this amount, But strangely, they still wanted to debit the amount. Due to the debit not going through, telkom then wanted to charge even more, which means that in May and June the final amount was over R1000 and we did not have this money, which means the debit order did not go through. In the meantime, I payed R780 over two payments which totals the amount for 3 months that we owe, but Telkom still tried to do a debit order midmonth when we clearly gave them instructions to do debit order on at the end of the month. I am so disgusted with the service that we have been getting as this is our first phone contract with them and they have not responded clearly to any of calls or dispute. Each time we log a dispute, we see the response as dispute resolved but no change in the account and no verbal or writing response to explain what was done. The services on the mobile phone has been disabled since April/May and we have not used the services since. Telkom has been really dissapointing and we will never use their services again.

Just as an add-in, my parents have taken the same contract, but have also had problems with telkom's billing.
