Telkom at it again: no internet for over a MONTH, and R2700+ LOST!

I find myself yet again writing a review about Telkom & their service. It's become completely ridiculous at this point!

I can't even explain how frustrating It has been, to struggle without Internet for over a month now! Given: I cancelled my contract with VOX and I understand that it takes a couple of days for the line rental to be resolved. But the complete lack of support from Telkom has led me to find another internet service provider, which is costing me more money AND the fact that I've had to spend well over R2700 on data, in order to work.

My career depends on me having an internet connection, and this was explained to Telkom the 6 or more times that I went to their offices!

01. Telkom told me that I could have a 20mb line in my area. After waiting 2 weeks with no feedback, I went back to Telkom, where they then told me a Technician was at my home (i never met or saw them) and said only a 10mb line would work.

02. I had to reapply again, but for the 10mb line. I'm STILL waiting for any feedback. No technician, no call, no checking in.

I'm sure that after all the hundreds of complaints you receive from so many other people, that there should be some kind of resolution or improvement in quality. But not even after so many years, has anything changed! This, along with my previous review where Telkom charged me for TWO line rentals (even though I only installed one) and owes me R3800 - which was well over 3 years ago.

This needs to be resolved, and I feel I deserve some kind of reimbur*****t at least for all the data I've had to buy and have proof of. For anyone trying to decide on what internet service provider to use: I'd stay far away from Telkom unless their support is much better in the town that you stay. Rather try something like Jenny, Rain, Afrihost or other but don't make the same mistake I did.

(Please note that the lady that helped us at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, it is the back office staff, technical support, etc that has ridiculous service)
