TELKOM ARE THE WORST
At the beginning of 2018 I tried to apply for a bond and get myself a car to trevel to work with only to find out I had a bad credit rating after Telkom reported me for arrears. I called telkom to ask what this was about and they said I did not appear to owe them anything and my credit was R0.00 on their system. I asked them if they are sure because there is an amount of R2300 I saw on ITC, asked them to confirm so I can pay for it ASAP of infact I did owe them, they assured me I did not. Brilliant,I then requested them to send me in writing so I can have my name cleared. They said they would send me a clearance letter and it would take 48-72 hours to arrive to me via email. It is now approaching 3 months and I have not recieved the clearance letter. I still have a bad credit rating and cannot move my life forward. I cannot buy a house, I cannot apply for loans to pursue business oppotunities I had set out for myself this year. I called Telkom 15 min ago like I have been for the past 2 and half months and all they tell me is to be patient, the case is resolved and I will get the letter. 2 and a half months to email a simple letter. I am apalled by the service I have recieved from this company, I am disgusted at the lack of empathy they have for their customers. I am a 25 year old man who has ambitions and plans to liberate himself and his family financially but cannot because my hands are tied by a company who cannot simply hit the 'send email' button on a computer. Customer care tells me there is no way I can escalate this so that my query can be resloved, I do not know where to look now and can only hope the telkom guys see this cry for help and do the right thing.
