Telkom are no different, they're also a rip-off ...
I'm really not one for dragging names in the mud. However, this time I've had just about a bucket full of horse manure from Telkom. Back in March 2020, I was enticed by the LTE deal they offered and bought into it. The deal comprised a mobile router, a data SIM card, and prepaid LTE data bundles. It all started off on a good note, that was only until mid-April. It started by buffering, next was a total loss of connection. I called their call centre, the consultant randomly told me that there's no credit in my account, I told him that I just recharged, he then checked up and realised I had credit in my account. The story changed, so it was about the network signal in my area. He then advised that I should switch from LTE to a better network tariff ( LIKEWISE, THERE'RE NO PROBLEMS WHEN I RECHARGE THE DATA ). The data bundles expired, so the loss is mine to bear, great.!.! For a while the SIM worked fine when inserted into my phone, so I started using it that way, yet still on LTE. Just when I thought the problem was with the device (mobile router), again, the data SIM card stopped connection even when inserted into the phone, I went to the Telkom outlet where I bought the product. You guessed it, without logging into the system (or at least pretending to), they presumed that the fault was with the area I live in or that I didn't have any bundles in my account. Need I mention that I was steadily sure that I had the bundles in my account as I had recharged shortly before the consultation, I mean that's how I realised the persistence of an old problem. So yet again, the bundles expired, the loss is mine to bear while they're always willing and ready to accept my money for the 'wonder' of services they provide.
