Telkom are *********** at pretty much everything
Telkom has yet again succeeded in showing that not only are they ***********, but that they don't care about their customers. This pitiful saga began when my line went out on 10 October 2017. The line was only restored on 13 November 2017. This was more than a month, but there had been a storm that had done some serious damage, so understandably it would take time. Now Telkom supposed to stop charging you when you report the fault, and start billing again when it is up again. On 24 November, I received my statement for the full amount. I chatted to Wishalen Gangadu at 13:52 and he said "Telkom customers do not need to log disputes for faults that have been resolved anymore as it automatically reflects on the next months bill or the following month as an out of service credit amount.". Ok, so I wait till next month. And I get a full bill. So on 22 December 2018 at 10:43, I chat to Andile Clementi Mteshane. He asks for the fault reference (226ank111017) and creates a dispute. "Thank you for your patient Saleem, Your dispute ref number is ********** 5 please note that it does take 72hours to 14 working days for a dispute to be resolved." 72 hours - 14 days.....what a joke! I don't only wait 72 hours or 14 days, but till the next month. And I get a full bill. So on 24 January 2018 at 11:28, i chat to Tenelle Sherri Pather. After the usual security questions (I'm used to them by now), she writes " I see that your account was migrated to the Telkom new system, unfortunately on our side we do not have access to the Telkom new system. You need to call 10210 to speak to a consultant. I do apologise for the inconvenience." Well done Telkom...let's make it the customers problem. On the 29 January 2018 at 9:40, I spoke to Thembisele Gcabashe who said that she escalated the fault and it would be sorted out. As if! So I wait. And I get a full bill. So on 22 February I speak to Nokukhanya Ndwandwe. She can't help, but it will be sorted out in 72 hours as it has been escalted again. I got to find out that the person who can sort it out is a Mr Kelsey, but neither can I contact him nor can they. So I wait. On 23 March 2017 I get my bill. I'd let you guess...but.. I get a full bill. Four months and they have not sorted out a simple credit. Quite useless. Please choose any other service provider if you have the option.
