TELKOM ARE FAILING TO DELIVER A SERVICE

I had a landline at an address where I was staying. I have had this line now for more than 12 years. I moved to a new address and requested that Telkom transfer my line to where I am now staying. We went through all the painful processes and paid all the required amounts and deposits for them to install a new line for me. They came to my house and I was advised that the telephone cables were ****** and therefore they cannot install the line for me.

I followed up with Telkom as I had advised them that I have a sick child at home and needed constant contacts with my home whilst I am at work. Of course this does not matter to Telkom because it is not their problem.

I was following up on the way forward where I was advised that I now have to pay another amount in order for them to supply me with a wireless phone. I keep on sending messages asking question but no one can actually can help me. I need to pay more money but what happened to the one that I paid already for the initial installation? Is it my fault that cables were ****** in my area. Why is it so difficult for Telkom to restore their cables and continue to give service.

I was asked to visit the outlet again in order for them to help me apply for a new service. Unfortunately Telkom's outlets are useless. You go in there and wait for about 4 hours just for you to be able to pay an amount. I am not keen to go through that experience again. I work full time and I have a sick child at home. As soon as I finish work I am rushing home. I do not want to spent another 4 hours in a Telkom outlet.

It is time Telkom start to treat their customers with respect. There is ubsolutely no service within Telkom. Nothing matters because they think they do have a lot of clients. I am very dissappointed with the service I am getting from them. As if it is a free service.
