Telkom are ******.

Hi South Africans, I hope whatever electronic device you're reading this review through wasn't supp**** or connected to Telkom network at all.

I bought a white Mecer Laptop at theTelkom Rosebank branch on the 9th of Jan and unfortunately it stopped working on the 7th of Feb. I contacted Platinum Warranty Desk to report my issue as I was advised to do by Telkom. Platinum Warranty issued me with a reference number a few minutes after I had sent them all the required info and I was pleasantly surprised by how quick they were, I was sure that my matter would be sorted out sooner than I had initially anticipated. Lo and behold Platinum Warranty (which should be demoted to copper) is only good at replying quickly to emails and no more than that. I was made to wait for weeks and so I sent another email as advised by Rosebank Telkom staff and again I got a quick email reply but nothing happened. I repeated this process more than I care to mention.

Four months later, four debit orders later and four months of being neglected by the Telkom Rosebank staff I decided to give back the laptop and every item I received from them whilst maintaining my monthly payments because if they want to rob me, they might as well do it in the open. Giving back the laptop in full view of other customers sprung them and Platinum Warranty into action and all of a sudden they collected the laptop, sent me an SMS about fixing it and apologizing for the manner in which I was treated.

It's the 15th of June 2019 and I'm still waiting, they've disappeared again and have gone radio silent. Platinum Warranty's reference number: 34E-23F560A9-05EA, is clearly meaningless so they can keep it and Telkom can keep it's laptop.

I just want all of this to be over, the contract should be terminated and I can walk away knowing that Telkom isn't the network company to use ever again.

Please Telkom, just end my annoyance and suffering by cancelling your contract with me, apologise for letting me pay for something that doesn't work anymore and for touting your 6 months lie as a selling point.
