Telkom are Bullies and are Prey on the Consumer with Sad Service and Communication.

I signed a Telkom Fibre contract recently. Then for 4 months begged for an invoice to pay a R799/month bill. The months came and went, and promises of the invoice did too. Sitting waiting for the call centre to take my call is always challenging, and treating the agent reasonably is more challenging.

Eventually on Friday May 19, after 4 attempts to get an invoice so I can pay my dues Nwabisa Ngangelizwe was the agent who finally assisted, but with quite a bit of motivation from me. She stated that there were system upgrades in place that were hindering them, blah blah. Not the customer's issue Telkom!

And then the clincher, this morning I open my snail mail box to geta letter of demand dated 9 May 2017. Today is the 23rd. Not at all what one would expect from a company that is at the forefront of Fibre Telecoms is it.

How dare this letter with a scanned signature of an anonymous National Credit Manager quoting a clause from the NCR, that I am sure they are not themselves au fait with, be sent to me after numerous attempts have been made and documented. Surely your poor (ironically) communication is the issue, and not my non payment? I must add that I have subsequently settle all outstanding amounts.

I demand that a Senior Telkom representative remedy this in writing within 7 days.

Thank you Hello Peter for your continued efforts to assist the public who are bul**** by entities who love to power play due to their own poor delivery.

Hi There Launa.

Thank you for your response. I went through a similar situation with my LTE contract that eventually got resolved. And worst thing is I was billed the R699/month for about 5 months that I was unable to use, and to date haven't recieved a cent in refund or even any sort of explaination for anything. It's really poor form, and as far as I am concerned not fair. Is there any way I can have these resolved without just lip service please.

Kind Regards.

Pierre
