Telkom and Lenovo's Customer Care Nightmare

I recently sent Lenovo an email to inform them that my laptop screen had broken due to it overheating. Since the laptop was still under warranty and on contract with Telkom, I emailed them to find out if the pick up and repair centre for Lenovo could arrange to pick it up. I was advised that they would have to have a look if it was under warranty and on their system. It took them 3 weeks and nothing happened after the first response. I was only informed that it was on the Lenovo system after I had to email in to ask on feedback, seems like they just didn't care and then I was told I had to pay for the pick up and repair. The laptop had previously overheated and crashed and when I checked again it said it was fine but always kept saying low memory, when I clearly have over 500Gb of space and to make matters worse I walked into Telkom and like any other Telkom store in the country they seem to just focus on making sales and not actual customer care and service. The gentleman I was referred to said he would get me the number to get help, after having gone into the back and clearly not happy about helping, he never came back out and I told his colleague I would be complaining to the CPA and Ombudsman and his sarcastic reaction was "You go ahead and do just that sir" . After almost 4 years of not complaining I cancelled my Telkom internet and never got feedback as to it actually being cancelled. I still need my Laptop to be sorted out as I run my business from it. I will gladly pay the astounding amount on my laptop for the remainder of the contract, but I need my laptop fixed as I have heard of people's laptop screens breaking just like mine all over the net and this is not an in common case as they make it out to be. I am very dissatisfied with this kinda service levels. I worked for Vodacom for 3 years and we made sure we found any way possible to keep our clients happy. I know this for a fact, it isn't a matter of just being present for a salary it actually means listening and showing empathy. I am a business owner myself and this is disgusting to see in places and in consultants like these
